Northwest Alternatives, Inc (NWA) offers individuals the
opportunity to access and engage in community activities, programs and
services that they would otherwise be unable to realize. We support recreational,
educational and physical activities promoting healthy minds, spirit and
physical well-being in a safe environment.

NWA began implementing programs for teens in the spring of
2004. Since inception, over 250 young people have participated in a multitude
of recreational, educational, social and physical activities. Examples of
activities included: Tree Climbing, Sprockids Mountain Biking, Outdoor
Games, Soccer Leagues, Lacrosse Clinics, Sand Volleyball, Cardboard
Regatta, Hiking Club, Running Club, Reading Club and Game Night.
Participation and involvement in these activities have been remarkable.
Offering these opportunities to teens has fostered increased community
involvement and positive experiences to enrich their lives. There have
been minimal fees associated with the activities, and scholarships have
been awarded to participants without financial resources.
